As one of the best international schools in Trichy, wellbeing is developed proactively through structured social and emotional learning, counselling support and a nurturing school environment where every child feels safe, seen and supported.
At TIPS Trichy, wellbeing is nurtured through a structured Personal, Social and Emotional (PSE) curriculum that is proactive, age-appropriate and integrated into everyday learning.
Rather than being taught in isolation, PSE is woven into classroom experiences alongside life skills and value education, helping students build self-awareness, resilience, empathy and confidence as part of their regular school journey.
Our approach is guided by the PERMA model, which helps students develop wellbeing as a practical life skill:
Wellbeing learning evolves thoughtfully across each phase of school. In the Primary years, students develop emotional literacy, friendship skills and an early understanding of online safety.
In Middle School, they explore topics such as digital citizenship, peer influence, consent, mental health awareness and study habits.
In Senior School, the focus expands to include stress management, healthy relationships, ethics, financial literacy and preparation for life beyond school.
Wellbeing at TIPS Trichy extends beyond the classroom. Through sports, the arts, clubs, leadership platforms and collaborative activities, students build resilience, confidence, teamwork and self-discovery in meaningful ways.
These experiences support the school’s wider commitment to developing life competencies such as adaptability, collaboration, self-leadership and social-emotional growth.
At TIPS Trichy, the House system forms the backbone of pastoral care, creating a strong sense of belonging while ensuring that every student is known, supported and guided throughout their school journey.
The four houses
Student life is organised around four distinguished houses, each fostering identity, camaraderie and healthy competition - Western Warriors, Eastern Elite, Southern Stalwarts and Northern Nobles.
Home room teachers
The Home Room Teacher (HRT) is the primary point of contact for both students and families. Beyond academics, the HRT monitors each child’s wellbeing, emotional state and social integration, helping ensure that no student is overlooked.
Daily check-ins and early support
At our private school in Trichy, each day begins with a short, structured home room check-in that helps students feel connected and heard. These daily interactions allow concerns to be identified early and support to be offered in a timely and caring manner.
Leadership and pastoral oversight
Each House is guided by a House Master or House Mistress who oversees the wellbeing of students within that House and works closely with HRTs to provide consistent pastoral support. House activities, gatherings and competitions further strengthen relationships, school spirit and a shared sense of identity.
At TIPS Trichy, student wellbeing is supported through trusted pastoral care, safeguarding, digital safety and strong parent partnership. Together, these systems ensure every child feels safe, heard and supported at every stage of their journey.
Professional counselling support is available for students whenever needed. Parents or students can raise a request through the Home Room Teacher or House Master or House Mistress, who will help facilitate access to appropriate counselling services.
Home Room Teachers and House Masters or House Mistresses serve as the first line of support for students, offering a listening ear, guidance and early pastoral care. Where required, they help escalate concerns and connect students with external counselling support.
All staff at TIPS School Trichy receive ISP training in safeguarding, student rights and safety. This ensures they are equipped to identify signs of distress, respond appropriately, uphold student wellbeing and follow clear reporting protocols.
Students are taught to navigate the digital world safely, responsibly and ethically through age-appropriate learning embedded in the curriculum. Key topics include privacy, cyberbullying, social media impact and digital footprint, supported by robust school-wide monitoring and reporting systems.
