On 15 September 2019, The Indian Public School (TIPS) opened its Kindergarten Campus in Trichy, marking the beginning of a new educational journey for the city’s youngest learners.
Drawing inspiration from global early years philosophies and adapting them to local needs, the campus was designed as a safe, nurturing and engaging space where curiosity leads the way. This foundation set the tone for TIPS Trichy’s holistic, learner-centred approach that continues to guide the school’s growth.
In 2022, TIPS Trichy strengthened its foundations by opening a new campus for the IB Primary Years Programme and Cambridge Lower Secondary. This pivotal step brought together IB, Cambridge and CBSE frameworks in a way that honoured both global standards and local context. With a strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning and cultural sensitivity, students began to grow as confident learners balancing academics with essential life skills. New facilities – including a swimming pool, football pitch, running tracks and basketball court - turned the campus into a vibrant hub for holistic development.
By 2024, TIPS Trichy’s academic and community impact reached a new level. The first batch of Cambridge IGCSE students passed with a 100% success rate, underscoring the school’s academic strength.
Securing CBSE affiliation for Grades 9 and 10 broadened pathway options for families. At the same time, curriculum mapping, teacher empowerment programmes and parent-friendly communication practices turned the school into a truly collaborative learning community.
Events, celebrations, exchange programmes, outbound learning and inter-school competitions showcased diversity, creativity and resilience, embedding life skills into everyday school life.
This was a transformative milestone for The Indian Public School group schools as they became a proud member of International Schools Partnership - ISP.

It provided access to unparalleled opportunities for our students to collaborate across continents, engage in innovative learning projects, and develop the skills to thrive as true global citizens. A defining moment in the TIPS Trichy journey came in 2025 with its official IB PYP authorization. This achievement made TIPS Trichy the first school in the city to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, marking a significant step in its academic evolution. The milestone reflects the school’s commitment to inquiry-led learning, international mindedness and a future-focused educational approach that nurtures curiosity, confidence and global awareness from the early years.

This legacy continues to grow through a team of accomplished teachers, proud alumni who carry the school’s name forward and experienced educators with over 15 years of guiding young learners toward success.
Backed by more than two decades of excellence in education, a 100% retention rate and a reputation built on consistency, care and results, TIPS stands as a school where legacy is not merely remembered but lived each day through the trust, loyalty and accomplishments of its community.
Academic excellence at TIPS Trichy is built on a powerful legacy of reputed founder-doctors, a strong alumni network and highly experienced teachers with over 15 years in the classroom and 100% retention.
Within just four years of inception, TIPS Trichy has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, with its first IGCSE cohort achieving a 100% pass rate. Consecutive Cambridge Checkpoint cohorts have secured full marks in Science and English, evidencing deep conceptual understanding and strong exam readiness.
With 20 Cambridge subjects on offer at Upper Secondary, learners can personalise their academic pathways while sustaining high levels of rigour in every discipline. Continuous formative and summative assessments track progress in core subjects and inquiry outcomes, providing clear data on each learner’s growth.
Through the dedicated Future Pathways programme, learners receive structured career and university guidance from Grades 8 – 12. Students attend fireside chats, expert talks and regular university fairs that expose them to a wide range of courses, campuses and careers.
Personalised one-to-one counselling supports subject selection, profile building and application strategy for both Indian and international universities. This continuous mentoring ensures that each learner understands their strengths, aligns them with realistic yet ambitious goals, and submits strong, well-prepared applications that open doors to top higher education destinations.
Through the sports and games programme, students commit to regular after-school coaching in football, athletics, swimming, badminton, basketball and table tennis. They train on dedicated facilities with structured drills, fitness work and match practice that build stamina, agility and competitive focus.
Within our programme, students also link sports with creative disciplines. They take part in sports-themed performances at school events, create art and design projects inspired by teamwork and movement, and contribute to music and dance pieces for sports days and tournaments.
Many also explore photography, videography and digital media, capturing games and competitions. This integrated approach lets learners develop both physical ability and artistic expression, deepening confidence, collaboration and joy in learning.
At TIPS Trichy, the arts are central to school life. Dedicated performing and visual arts centres create aesthetically rich spaces for music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture and design, where students experiment, rehearse and refine their craft from the early years through secondary.
The school’s commitment comes to life in a dynamic calendar of arts experiences. Throughout the year, learners take part in assemblies, cultural showcases and thematic performances that blend Tamil heritage with global themes. They learn to work as ensembles, manage stage cues, collaborate on sets and costumes, and give and receive feedback as emerging artists.
The highlight is the mammoth-scale Annual Stage Show, a grand celebration that brings every student - from the youngest kindergarten child to senior learners - onto the stage.
Learners at TIPS Trichy grow as confident communicators who move fluently between local and global contexts. Multilingualism is treated as a life skill that strengthens identity, empathy and adaptability, not just as a timetable subject.
Tamil and English form the core of daily communication, ensuring students stay rooted in their cultural heritage while mastering the global academic language. From Grade 1, students also learn Hindi, building a solid base that allows them to choose it later as a second or third language.
To open additional international pathways, French is mandatory in Grades 6–8, so every learner gains exposure to a major world language and culture. Dedicated language support helps students who are new to English, or who need extra help in any language, to participate fully in lessons and school life.
At our IB school in Trichy, wellbeing is part of everyday school life. Our House and Home Room Teacher system ensures each student is known, checked in with daily and supported early when needed. HRTs are the first point of contact for students and families, while House Masters and Mistresses provide wider pastoral oversight and help build belonging through House activities and shared identity.
This care is strengthened by an age-appropriate Personal, Social and Emotional curriculum embedded into regular learning and guided by the PERMA model. Students develop emotional literacy, healthy relationships, resilience, digital responsibility, self-awareness and confidence at every stage of school.
Professional counselling support is also available on request, accessed through the HRT or House pastoral team. Alongside this, all staff are trained by ISP in safeguarding student rights and safety, with clear reporting systems, child protection procedures, anti-bullying practices and online safety protocols helping create a secure and supportive environment for every child.
From the earliest years through the IB PYP and into the upper grades, students grow life skills through the ISP Life Competencies framework, the IB Learner Profile, creating a continuous pathway from early social-emotional growth to advanced real-world problem-solving and innovation.
These attributes are strengthened by DTTE (Design Thinking Through Entrepreneurship), where students tackle real-world problems, prototype solutions and pitch ideas, as well as platforms like Junior MUN, MUN, TED-Ed and TEDxYouth. Together, these experiences shape adaptable, confident learners ready to thrive beyond school.
TIPS Trichy gives learners a powerful mix of international, national and real‑world opportunities. Through ISP global programmes such as ILOS virtual exchanges, international chess and writers/artists initiatives, students collaborate with peers worldwide.
Outbound Learning (OBL) field trips, led by a dedicated OBL team, turn the world into a classroom with curriculum‑linked visits, geological and archaeological explorations and carefully planned experiential journeys.
Alongside this, students are encouraged to compete in national and international Olympiads across Mathematics, Science, English, General Knowledge, Social Science, Computer Science and History. Guided preparation from teachers helps them stretch their academic strengths, benchmark against wider cohorts and gain confidence in competitive environments.
Leadership and school life at TIPS Trichy are built into the daily experience, not treated as extras. A dynamic house system – the Northern Nobles, Southern Stalwarts, Eastern Elite and Western Warriors – creates healthy competition and belonging, while democratically elected House Captains, Sports and Cultural Captains, and the Head Boy and Head Girl form a strong Student Council that models responsibility and service.
Across the year, learners step up through Junior MUN for PYP students, TIPS MUN and TED-Ed Club Talks in secondary, and the flagship TEDxYouth platform that brings their ideas to the wider community. Whole‑school events such as the TIPS Trichy Marathon and TIPS Market Day further connect students to real‑world teamwork, entrepreneurship, social responsibility and community spirit, ensuring that every child has opportunities to lead, participate and celebrate school life together.
